IT Help Desk Technician

Summary of the Position: The Help Desk Technician assists users in resolving computer issues that may interfere with functionality and the overall user experience and offers the first level of support for users who need assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to users in person, through email, phone and web-based platforms as needed
• Works in conjunction with company's third-party IT provider to address help desk tickets and other IT projects
• Pinpoints technical issues based on reported symptoms and diagnostic reports
• Performs basic tasks such as resetting passwords and adjusting key settings, assisting with printers, phones, etc. as needed
• Assists with routine tasks, such as distribution and set up of company electronic equipment, phones, assisting with badges, running lines/cables, installing video cameras, etc.

• Follows and supports all quality, safety, and environmental standards applicable to the job

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical proficiency in basic computer skills and popular software and operating systems
• Understanding of basic network administration, including protocols and IP addressing
• Knowledge of basic software installation and configuration processes
• Ability to troubleshoot common issues
• Ability to simplify technical language into easy-to-understand phrasing
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must be able to manage and maintain confidential information and maintain the highest ethics
• Must maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Must be able to be physically onsite to work
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, be able to view computer screens and paperwork at close distance, distinguishing letters and numbers,
