We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continued maintenance of our many SMB and local Government client server, VoIP phone, camera, and IT systems. This role requires a strong understanding of network security, high availability systems, and a commitment to ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our network services.
- Responsible for the daily operations, security, maintenance, and configuration of all customer devices
- Install, Configure and Manage MS Server 2019, 2022, and 2025
- Install, Configure and Manage MS Windows 11 computers
- Configure and Support client MS Hyper-V environments
- Investigate and solve customer technical issues, collaborating with team members and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices
- Strong understanding of network protocols, technologies, and infrastructure components
- Implement, troubleshoot, and manage Layer 2 and 3 network infrastructures including VLANs
- Configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless network hardware
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support firewalls and security appliances – Cloud Managed
- Support and configure VoIP phones and systems – Cloud Managed
- Collaborate with other team members to assess network requirements and optimize performance issues
- Provide remote support for SMB/Government clients via our CMS, and when necessary, on-site customer support
- Evaluate and analyze the customer's business system requirements for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, integrity, completeness, compliance, compatibility, and testability
- Adherence to best practices and company standards
- Monitor Server, desktops, and network equipment performance to identify and resolve issues proactively via our CMS
- Prepare documentation, and configuration details
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in System Administration, network engineering, technical support, technical consulting experience, and information technology experience
- 5 years of IT/Software Application Support
- Certifications preferred
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows 11 and Server 2019/2022/2025
- Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, VLANs and Remote Connectivity
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and collaboratively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Fluent in the use of the English language
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for client support and project work
Qualifications:
- Windows System Configuration and troubleshooting including Registry files, Application and System Event Logs, Log Analysis, File Association, and Auditing
- Proficient with troubleshooting and supporting MS Windows 11
- Proficient with troubleshooting and supporting MS Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025
- Proficient with troubleshooting and supporting Virtualization and Hyper-V technologies
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports state and local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents
Other Information:
- Hybrid remote that will require some local travel to customer locations
Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job
Pay: $75,413.13 - $90,820.11 per year
