Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Manage patient flow and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation.
- Support the dental team with sterilization of instruments and maintenance of equipment.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical coding, medical records management, and anatomy is beneficial.
- Experience in pediatrics or endodontics is an advantage but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
