Commercial Roofing Service Sales Representative

Territory-Based | Local Travel Required

Position Overview

A well-established commercial roofing and building envelope contractor is seeking a Service Sales Representative to help grow its service and maintenance business throughout the San Antonio market.

This role is responsible for developing new customer relationships, identifying repair and maintenance opportunities, conducting roof inspections, preparing pricing, and managing opportunities from the initial conversation through project completion.

The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder who is comfortable prospecting for new business, meeting with commercial property owners and facility professionals, walking roofs, identifying customer needs, and consistently following up to close work.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a targeted list of prospective commercial customers throughout the assigned territory.
• Consistently prospect and generate new customer conversations, appointments, and sales opportunities.
• Develop relationships with property owners, facility managers, property managers, general contractors, consultants, and other key decision-makers.
• Conduct commercial roof inspections and document existing conditions, repair needs, maintenance opportunities, and future replacement requirements.
• Identify and sell roof repairs, preventative maintenance programs, restoration projects, and larger capital roofing opportunities.
• Prepare and present pricing and proposals based on customer needs.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of service, maintenance, and reroofing opportunities.
• Follow up consistently on proposals, outstanding opportunities, active projects, and completed work.
• Work closely with estimating and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale through project completion.
• Maintain accurate customer notes, opportunities, activities, and next steps within the CRM system.
• Stay informed on commercial roofing systems, maintenance requirements, safety procedures, and activity within the local market.
• Represent the organization professionally while providing responsive, solutions-focused customer service.

Candidate Qualifications

Successful candidates will typically bring:

• Previous experience in commercial roofing sales, service sales, roofing, construction, facilities, property management, or a related industry.
• Commercial roofing or building envelope experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to prospect, develop relationships, and generate new business.
• Strong communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend practical roofing solutions.
• Comfort conducting roof inspections and safely working at heights.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously.
• Experience using a CRM or similar sales tracking system.
• Ability to work independently while remaining aligned with operational and leadership teams.
• Willingness to travel locally throughout the assigned territory for customer meetings, inspections, and jobsite visits.
