Key Responsibilities
Service Operations Management
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians
- Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs
- Diagnosing complex mechanical issues and performing advanced repairs when necessary
- Inspect equipment and vehicles to identify maintenance needs
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs
- Order and manage parts, tools, and inventory
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and best practices
- Communicate with management regarding repair timelines, costs, and equipment status
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
- 5 years of mechanical experience (industry-specific experience may be required)
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Work Schedule
Full‑time, on‑site
Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
Additional hours may be required for:
- Increased workloads
- Time‑sensitive repairs
- Internal customer needs
- Occasional night or weekend coverage
Work Environment
Working conditions may include:
- Temperature and humidity extremes
- Frequent exposure to noise and vibration
- Variable lighting conditions
- Occasional independent work
- Extended or irregular work hours
Travel
Up to 25%. Travel may be required to support other locations or road crews.
Physical Requirements
Continuous: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity, color distinction, driving
Occasional: Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
