What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx CDL Class A Part Time Driver position at Hi-Line Logistics and Transport?
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our FedEx team in a flexible, on-call capacity. This position is ideal for a retired or semi-retired driver looking to stay active while enjoying a light, flexible schedule.
What You’ll Do:
- Fill-in driving: Step in to cover runs when regular drivers are unavailable (due to illness, emergencies, etc.).
- Fleet Maintenance: Perform weekly checks on trucks including oil levels, fluids, and general condition to ensure readiness.
- Drive Assigned Routes: Operate safely and professionally on dedicated FedEx Ground lanes when called upon.
Compensation:
- $200 per week guaranteed for maintaining and checking the truck fleet (whether or not you drive that week).
- $0.70 per mile when filling in as a driver.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL with Double/Triple Endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience with doubles.
- Clean MVR and ability to pass background and drug screenings (as required by FedEx).
- Availability to be on-call as needed (flexible days).
- Comfortable working independently and maintaining vehicle standards.
