Supervises assembly team leaders on shifts assigned to ensure manufacturing goals are achieved. Coordinate other manufacturing departments. Supervises continuous improvement efforts. Implements engineering changes into manufacturing process.

Essential Functions:
- Supervises manufacturing team leaders to ensure production efficiency is maintained through production scheduling and troubleshooting problems.
- Supervises manufacturing team leaders to ensure quality standards are maintained through improvement programs, implementing countermeasures for all quality concerns, and assisting manufacturing engineers design work stations for maximum quality.
- Implements engineering changes into manufacturing process.
- Monitors safety and quality within the section including machines, equipment, and processes. Investigates problems and recommends solutions.
- Prepares reports and makes presentations on quality, scrap, direct labor and line status.
- Enforces company policies and procedures.
- Trains associates.
- Plans, organizes and allocates department resources to meet department and company goals.
- Promotes an associate relations environment that is consistent with long term management objectives.
- Promotes participation in associate involvement programs and community events.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Specialized Training, Skills, Abilities, Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 2 year associates degree in business administration or technical training is preferred
- 3-5 years previous line experience of which 1-2 years as a team leader is helpful.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment required
- Knowledge of statistical process control
- Factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment.
- Possible exposure to spraying chemicals. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock.
- Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects -- up to 50 pounds.
