POSITION SUMMARY
Performs regular cycle counts to identify possible discrepancies in inventory quantities and reconcile variances according to approved policies and procedures.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all cycle count requests to be completed in allotted time. Using the automated cycle count plan in Plex.
- Works on Material Layout, and Location accuracy projects with the Inventory Control Supervisor.
- Works with the Inventory Control Supervisor on problem solving inventory discrepancies.
EDUCATION
- High school Diploma
FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of relevant software MS Office, Excel, Google sheets, Plex
- Basic Inventory control understanding
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Ensure on time conduct of cycle count schedule and requested activities.
- Become very familiar with the locations and routing of material flow in the warehouse and manufacturing floor.
- Notify supervision immediately of emergencies which may affect manufacturing or the customer.
- Highlight areas of concern associated with inventory problems.
- Communicate all affected areas with pertinent information which might affect planning, manufacturing, or shipments to customers.
- Promotes an associate relations environment that is consistent with long term management objectives.
- Responsible for continuous improvement in the inventory accuracy area. Provides timely reports to management on progress towards objectives.
- Implement and maintain a filing system of facts, discrepancies, and issues identified during the cycle count or stock taking process in order to maintain and retrieve records easily and quickly.
- Follow all relevant safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions to ensure a safe work place.
- Investigate and compile costs of inventory errors.
- Compile, analyze and report results of all data and report to management.
- Resolve discrepancies in the bill-of-materials.
- Verify quantities of materials which suppliers have on hand that are on consignment inventory.
