POSITION SUMMARY:
Monitors work of associates to ensure production requirements are met. Ensures safety and quality standards are maintained. Performs adjustments to the production line and or assigned work stations, completes required documentation, and trains associates in machine processes and problem solving.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors work of associates to ensure production requirements are met.
- Ensures quality standards are met & approval of finished product.
- Monitors cleanliness and safety of the worksite.
- Performs product problem solving and corrective actions.
- Works to ensure company goals are attained.
- Performs production line and/or machine process adjustments when necessary.
- Completes required forms and paperwork.
- Verify quantities, lot numbers, labels, and correctness of parts
- Performs cycle counts using handheld scanner and ERP system
- Notifies materials department of any known component or manufactured part shortages
- Repairs minor machine problems.
- Fills in for absentees on work stations when needed
- Follows all safety rules and keeps the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education
- Associates degree and/or 1-2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
Functional Experience
- Use hand tools, crane, grinders, calipers, and gages
- Use of a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and a hand or powered pallet jack
- Use of a computer and typical office software
- Ability to use handheld scanner
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment in assigned area
Physical Requirements
- Office environment with noise from computer peripherals such as printers and disk drives.
- Also works in a factory environment with noise from the manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock.
- Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- May spend time in travel between customers using an automobile in high traffic areas.
- Exposure to automobile accidents causing bodily damage.
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 25 pounds.
