Machine Operator packer II

• Hi-De Liners, located next to the OIC Building in Orange, 131 West Main Street... is looking for someone to join our Night, shift team. Starting pay is$18/hr. with shift differentials for the 2nd shift plus $1 hr and 3rd shift $1.50 more an Hr positions. We are currently running 8hr shifts Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will be an organized team player with a positive attitude. They will be able to work independently and also as part of a team to assist in operation of a production line where orders are processed for shipment or display. This person must be reliable, have strong attention to detail, person must be able to follow instructions related to quality, production, and labor standards. A good understanding of basic math is essential.

Packer:

Summary:

The packer is a team member whose primary job is to pack bags with an attention to details concerning safety, quality and neatness.

Job Responsibilities:

· Assemble boxes

· Pack bags and stack boxes on skids

· Weigh, label and stack boxes on skids

· Check bag quality and fill in appropriate forms

· Sweep work area; keep machine area neat

· Comply with all safety regulations and company policies

· Other duties may be assigned

Skills Required:

· Ability to follow instructions

· Basic reading, writing and arithmetic

· Able to read a ruler and micrometer

· Able to operate pallet jack

· Ability to get along with others

· Punctuality and reliability

Physical Demands:

Packers must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours a day. Must be able to lift 20 to 60 pounds continually. Must be able to stand, reach and pull for a full shift.

Work Environment:

Can be very hot in summer, very cold in winter. Can be dusty at times. Noise level is moderate to loud.

Personal Protection Equipment is required.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
