Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, located in Phoenix, AZ. The individual in this role will assist in implementing treatment plans to help clients improve their functional abilities. Daily tasks include assisting occupational therapists in evaluations, facilitating therapy sessions, maintaining client documentation, and collaborating with other professionals to provide high-quality care to clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in therapy implementation, including hands-on work with clients in occupational therapy settings
- Documentation and record-keeping skills to ensure accurate client progress tracking
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills for working with therapists, parents, and other team members
- Ability to follow treatment plans and guidance from licensed occupational therapists
- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) certification in good standing
- Strong understanding of child development and experience with children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Passion for providing compassionate care and making a positive impact on clients' lives
