What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Attendant position at HHS?
We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our housekeeping team at Club Wyndham Ocean Ridge in Edisto Beach!
The House Attendant plays a vital role in supporting the housekeeping team by ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of linens, supplies, and guest-requested items throughout the resort. This position is also responsible for transporting staff between guest units and the housekeeping office. Success in this role requires safe and responsible driving, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to daily housekeeping operations.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas of the resort, including common areas, restrooms, ancillary areas, and more
- Sweep and mop floors and wipe furniture, walls, doors, windows, tables and other surfaces
- Remove trash and replenish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas
- Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
- Provide friendly and kind service to all guests
- Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid Driver's License
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Preferred: Housekeeping or laundry experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, hotel operations, healthcare)
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
- Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
- Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
