Opportunity: Director of Sales – Task Force

As a Task Force Director of Sales, you will step into various properties to lead sales teams and provide critical short-term and long-term coverage. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, quickly adapting to the unique needs of full-service, luxury, select-service, and boutique properties within the HHM Hotels industry-leading branded and independent collections.

 

Your Focus

  • Team Leadership: Interview, select, train, and coach associates to ensure they excel in brand standards while living HHM core values.
  • Strategic Planning: Use internal and external data to develop comprehensive plans that capture all business segments.
  • Business Intelligence: Understand sales processes to support corporate goals and enhance overall customer value.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify customer requirements and craft compelling offers that increase the hotel's revenue share.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales team objectives and implement corrective actions to stay aligned with the annual marketing plan.
  • Goal Achievement: Drive the hotel toward annual revenue targets established in the budget.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Expert Negotiation: Use professional sales techniques to secure the best possible terms for both the customer and the hotel.
  • Sales Execution: Articulate the unique benefits of each property to successfully close sales opportunities.
  • Marketing Maintenance: Manage a current marketing plan with specific, measurable initiatives for every business segment.
  • Professional Mentorship: Model elite selling techniques and commit to the ongoing development of your team and yourself.
  • Effective Communication: Develop oral and written presentations that clearly convey recommendations and conclusions.
  • Market Presence: Travel locally during assignments to conduct outside calls, promote the property, and analyze the competition.

Your Background and Skills

  • Education: Four-year college degree required; advanced coursework in business, marketing, or communications is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous hotel sales experience is required; operations experience is preferred.
  • Brand Expertise: Familiarity with Marriott and Hilton systems is a significant advantage.
  • Marketing Savvy: Proven experience in public relations and community marketing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Delphi, and access database tools.

Work Environment and Context

  • Travel: Extensive travel to hotels throughout the United States is required.
  • Schedule: Work schedules vary and will include some holidays and weekends based on project needs.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, and operate a keyboard.
  • Mobility: Moderate travel between hotel properties and client locations is expected.

Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
