Evening Janitorial Supervisor (55623)

Position Summary

The Evening Supervisor will oversee custodial staff to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervising and training employees
• Scheduling work
• Inspecting cleaned areas
• Managing inventory of supplies
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Contributing to operational procedures

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Plans, organizes, and directs the workflow.
• Train new team members.
• May perform minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, restocking paper towels, tissue and other supplies.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets established standards.
• Identify areas needing improvement to avoid customer complaints
• Assists in cleaning in areas required by customer.
• Manage nightly operations
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Oversee special cleaning projects
• Responsible for securing the building upon leaving and securing customer's keys at all times.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work environment. In storage areas as well as any company provided motor operated vehicle.
• Will perform quality inspections, supply inventory, window cleaning, and biohazard cleanup and trash removal.
• Required to drive company vehicles to customer locations to perform routine cleaning or additional services.
• Assists in examining the facility for safety hazards; additional services that are needed, and reports deficiencies to manager.
• Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with coworkers and the customer.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Valid Driver’s License & Insurance required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent pushing, pulling, wiping, reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting and / or carrying up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Will have contact with chemicals commonly used in the janitorial industry
• Will have contact with latex products including gloves.
