Job Summary
The EVS Linen 6 Supervisor provides advanced leadership and oversight for the Linen Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality linen distribution throughout the facility. This role combines operational supervision with administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, payroll, inventory control, and performance monitoring. The Linen 6 Supervisor works closely with the Director of Environmental Services to maintain service excellence, compliance, and departmental efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee all daily linen operations, including distribution, stocking, and cart rotation.
• Manage departmental scheduling, timekeeping, payroll approvals, and attendance tracking.
• Provide training, coaching, and development plans to strengthen staff skills and performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators, prepare departmental reports, and recommend process improvements.
• Conduct regular audits of linen inventory, usage, and quality; implement corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain records, logs, and documentation for compliance and audits.
• Ensure staff compliance with infection prevention, safety, and hospital policies.
• Address performance concerns, document incidents, and assist in corrective action in partnership with HR/management.
• Lead quality assurance inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to escalated service requests and emergencies, reprioritizing workflows as necessary.
• Apply strong time-management and decision-making skills to balance operations with administrative duties.
• Serve as a communication link between leadership, staff, and hospital departments to ensure linen needs are consistently met.

Education / Certifications / Licenses
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required: Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.

Experience
• Required: Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in linen services or healthcare logistics.
• Preferred: 5 years of leadership experience in healthcare logistics; industry certification preferred.
