Job Objective
Huntington Hospitalist Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide direct clinical care within our internal Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinic. The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients recovering from opioid use disorders. The NP will exclusively manage MAT treatment protocols, develop individualized recovery plans, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team to foster a supportive, stigma-free environment that promotes long-term patient stability and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Evaluation: Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive medical, physical, and behavioral health assessments for patients entering and participating in the MAT program.
- Buprenorphine Management: Prescribe, administer, and manage buprenorphine safely and effectively, strictly adhering to DEA, SAMHSA, and state board regulatory guidelines.
- Care Planning: Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient progress, clinical indicators, and routine toxicology screening results.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with attending physicians, behavioral health counselors, and clinical support staff to ensure cohesive, whole-person care and integration of psychosocial therapies.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients and their support systems on addiction pathology, buprenorphine adherence, harm reduction, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Care Coordination: Identify and manage co-occurring acute or chronic medical conditions, facilitating referrals to specialists or higher levels of care when clinically indicated.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise, timely, and compliant patient records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring all clinical notes meet billing, legal, and operational standards.
- Quality Improvement: Actively participate in clinical case conferences, practice improvement initiatives, and peer reviews to optimize clinical workflows and patient outcomes.
Pay: $105,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
