What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Command Officer - FT - 3rd shift position at HH Health System?
Overview
Responsible for observing activities in the HH Health System using CCTV and dispatching Security officers appropriately. Accurately answers telephone calls from physicians, nurses, ancillary personnel and other internal and external customers and/or agencies and accurately connects them with the appropriate hospital personnel. Accurately communicates and dispatches security calls, courier/transport calls and work orders utilizing various communication devices. Promptly and accurately initiates off-line procedures when indicated. Performs secretarial tasks such as typing, filing, etc. Interacts extensively with other departments both in written and telephone correspondence. May be called upon to greet, valet park, transport patients and conduct courier runs. Perform Notary services for patients and patient’s families Provides support in planning, scheduling, and organizing routine department activities.
Qualifications
Education: HS/GED with typing, computer applications and telephonic communications training.
Experience: Two years of directly applicable customer service support and dispatch experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, email and all office equipment. Must have excellent telephone etiquette. Must possess a driver’s license and be insurable by HH standards.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly while maintaining composure under pressure. Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbally. Knowledge of reading a map and giving verbal directions and possess excellent decision making skills. They must successfully complete the non-physical portion of the Security Academy to include certifications in:
- Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification
- IAHSS Basic certification
- CPR certification
- Notary Public (Must become a notary and have certificate back to Administrative assistant within 5 business days of receiving the check.)
- Experience with CCTV matrix systems (Pelco preferred)
- Experience with access control systems (CCure preferred)
- Experience with dispatcher software (D3 preferred)
- Experience with infant protection systems (HUGS preferred)
- Experience with fire control systems (Simplex preferred)
