What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motion/ Digital Designer position at HH Global?
Purpose of the Job
This role is a key part of a newly established in-house design team for the SMB Ads Marketing Team with this long-time client - a global leader in the Tech industry. In this role you may spend some time on site at the client office or collaborating in HH Global offices and be supported by our appointed Design Lead for this business area. You will have a broad range of design skills, and strong digital design skills would be beneficial.
Initially you will work closely with the client to fully understand and adopt the brand, design guidelines and processes. You will be creating After Effects specific toolkits, then execute Motion Design output for multiple campaigns, across various platforms including Social Ads, Video Content (including editing work where needed), animated UI Elements etc with After Effects and Premiere Pro. You will ensure that designs adhere to brand guidelines and respond promptly to client feedback and amends. Where needed, you may be required to provide additional support on more traditional design outputs, primarily using Figma, Illustrator and other similar design tools. Building strong client relationships is a vital aspect of this role so you should have confidence in your design skills, in working directly with the client, and be able to present your work as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow traffic management processes to ensure best in class results are achieved
- Design and development of Adobe After Effects specific toolkits
- Execution of Video/Motion outputs at scale across multiple languages, platforms and specifications
- Collaborate with the client and colleagues to develop creative solutions to meet the client’s needs, in line with their overall marketing strategy
- Present your work to the client, and respond to feedback appropriately
- Be aware of on-going basis of design trends, undertaking appropriate research when required, thus ensuring HH client’s creative is innovative and appropriate for their regional audience
- Lead by example and share your knowledge and best practice experience with the wider design team
- 4-6 years experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Video Production and Motion Design software; After Effects, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder & wider Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition preferable)
- Proven track record building toolkits in Adobe After Effects designed for global localization and scale
- Well versed in expressions, scripting and high level usage of Adobe After Effects
- Strong foundational design knowledge, with experience using Figma desirable
- Detail orientated and able to conduct thorough QA/QC on work
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace app alongside platform specific best practices
- Skilled with concepting, typography, composition including wireframing and storytelling
- Exhibitable track record of additional creative design work
- Excellent creative and technical skills in Motion Design and strong attention to detail essential.
- Experienced in proofing text and can go beyond spell-check
- Experience with AI and how this can benefit the creative process
- Easy-going, able to multitask, deal with multiple rounds of: edits, amends, scrapping things and starting over
- Flexible and can adapt to quickly changing priorities and tasks
- Open to constructive criticism and can maintain a great attitude under pressure
- Able to quickly pick-up a client’s brand guidelines and maintain brand consistency while creating innovative and strategic designs
- Highly organized with an internal drive to continuously improve and learn new skills
- Ability to excel within fast paced, high energy environments
