Job Summary
The General Laborer supports our crew on commercial and residential renovations, repairs, and large projects. This role involves physical work, job site preparation, cleanup, and assisting skilled tradespeople with a wide range of tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Show up on time, with a good attitude, and ready to work every day
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including site clearing, debris removal, and material staging
- Load, unload, and carry materials, tools, and equipment
- Pick up materials and tools from various suppliers for team members as needed
- Bring tools or materials from work-van or shop to team members as needed
- Assist with demolition
- Support team members by handling manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment
- Help with framing, drywall, insulation, flooring, trim, and other renovation tasks under direction
- Operate power tools and basic equipment safely and correctly
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe throughout the day, and complete full cleanup at the end of each job
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
- Treat customers' homes and property with respect and maintain a professional, courteous attitude on site
- Report hazards, damage, or problems to the project manager promptly
Requirements:
- Prior construction or related trade experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong work ethic
- Basic familiarity with common hand tools and power tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Comfortable working at heights, in attics, crawlspaces, and other tight spaces when necessary
- Must be able to pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly, and occasionally more with assistance
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work on your feet for extended periods
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
