Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the order fulfillment process within the warehouse, ensuring that orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This role involves leading a team of fulfillment associates, coordinating daily tasks, and maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of fulfillment associates.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure completion.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.
- Oversee the order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify that all shipments are properly labeled and documented.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
- Strong understanding of replenishment processes and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds and/or pull to 100lbs.) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Reach into bins at various levels, push and pull carts, and utilize warehouse information systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to warehouse operations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
