What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Floor Care Specialist position at HGI STORES & SERVICES INC?
The Custodial Floor Care Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in various contact sites. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clean and maintain floors using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Strip, wax, and buff floors as needed.
- Operate floor cleaning machines, such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to Regional Custodial Manager.
- Assist with other cleaning tasks as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods of time.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Knowledge of relevant workplace safety practices, proper use and storage of cleaning supplies/chemicals and associated Safety Data Sheets (OSHA HazCom), Blood Borne Pathogens, etc.
- Participate in training as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
1. Must have a valid driver’s license, pass background, and drug test.
2. Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment
3. Ability to lift with assistance up to 50lbs. and using lifting equipment such as belts.
