We are seeking a full-time Recycling Center employee with a willingness to perform multiple functions, including receiving and processing incoming and outgoing recycled materials, working directly with customers in a courteous and professional manner, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly to gain product knowledge and competencies in specialized recycling equipment. Forklift operation experience is a plus, but not required. The ideal candidate will have a history of working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy physical labor, but will also be able to work well with a team.

Responsibilities:

• Work with customers to efficiently handle their household recylable materials.
• Sort and process large loads of metal, aluminum, plastics, cardboard, paper and glass.
• Use a forklift and other equipment to move materials safely and efficiently around the warehouse.
• Work collaboratively with the team to prepare shipments for transport to material processing plants. Assist with loading and weighing out of shipments.
• Self-initiative to clean and organize areas in warehouse, in anticipation of new loads coming in requring space for processing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
