Job Description: Overview: The Mill Machine Operator plays a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, utilizing advanced 5-axis milling machines to produce intricate and high-precision components. This position requires expertise in CNC programming, setup, and operation to ensure the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
C Shift: Friday- Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM (Paid for 40 hours)
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines to fabricate complex components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust cutting parameters as necessary to optimize production efficiency and maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring continuous process improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist or mill operator with expertise in 5-axis machining.
- Strong technical knowledge of 5-axis CNC programming, tooling, and machining practices.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade school program in machining or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education requirements.
- Prior CNC Milling operation experience preferred, especially in a manufacturing or medical device environment.
