What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at HG External?
The Diet Aide’s day-to-day work includes routinely setting up, clearing and cleaning and resetting dining room. You would be taking menu orders and serving residents and guests meals in a timely and gracious manner. You will be providing quality customer service to residents and guests.
Schedule:
- Part-Time (4 days/week required)
- Per Diem
- Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is a requirement
Compensation:
- $19.58 to $20.05 hour, depending on experience
To be successful in this role, you would have:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as Diet Aide required.
- 1 years of experience in food industry required.
- Experience in food industry and with seniors preferred.
- Food Handlers Certification or enrollment in the certification course preferred.
- High school Level diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
- Work on a tray line
- Serving food to residents, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Provides food and tray delivery to the assisted living and/or skilled care center residents
- Sets up and cleans dining room
- Maintains or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
- Assures timely meal delivery and plate preparation.
If you are interested in Dietetics or Dietary Management, this is a great opportunity to learn how to navigate therapeutic and texture-modified diets and serve food accordingly. Work under a RD/CDM. Learn and practice local/federal regulatory requirements regarding food safety and sanitation, nutrition, etc.
