What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Assistant position at HG External?
Spring Mill Pointe, is hiring a part time & per diem Activity Assistant to join our team!
Schedule: Part Time- Every Other Weekend
Shift: 9-5pm
Pay: $17 - $18 per hour
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading daily activities, programs, and special events.
- Encourage resident participation and create a welcoming atmosphere at all activities.
- Support the development of individualized approaches for residents with diverse needs, including those living with cognitive impairment.
- Help prepare activity materials, set up and clean up spaces, and maintain an organized activity environment.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve program quality and resident satisfaction.
Experience and Education
- High school Level diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge or experience is preferred.
- One year of experience in recreational activities preferred. Vocational/technical training that includes care of elderly with dementia desired; equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities preferred
- CPR certification is a plus
