Senior Civil Land Development Engineer / Project Manager

In this leadership role, you will oversee projects from proposal through completion, ensuring technical excellence, financial performance, and exceptional client service. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of civil land development projects from proposal development through project closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, fee proposals, budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project financial performance, labor utilization, budgets, and profitability, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record, preparing and reviewing engineering plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all projects comply with applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and technical excellence throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, assigning work, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships through proactive communication and responsive service.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to support operational initiatives, continuous improvement, and strategic growth.
  • Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and client-focused project delivery.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • 8 experience managing civil land development projects from planning through construction.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring engineering professionals.
  • Strong understanding of land development design principles, permitting processes, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop project scopes, fee proposals, budgets, schedules, and manage project financial performance.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering design software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Business development experience and an established professional network are a plus.
