Position Summary:

We are seeking a Board-Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist to support radiation oncology clinical operations at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Medical Physics
  • ABR Board Certification required
  • Minimum 2 years continuous recent clinical experience
  • Experience with:
  • Varian Edge Linear Accelerator
  • Cone Beam CT (TG-142)
  • Eclipse TPS & ARIA
  • IMRT/VMAT, 3D/2D, SRS/SBRT
  • Sun Nuclear / SunCHECK (preferred)
  • VA CPRS/EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily, monthly, and annual QA
  • Provide physics support for patient treatments
  • Perform MU/treatment time calculations & independent checks
  • Participate in chart rounds, chart checks, huddles
  • Provide support for SRS/SBRT cases
  • Assist with radiation safety documentation and NHPP compliance
  • Maintain documentation in CPRS

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of clinical physics workflows
  • QA competency
  • Collaboration with dosimetry & physicians

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
