Position Summary:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist to support radiation oncology clinical operations at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Medical Physics
- ABR Board Certification required
- Minimum 2 years continuous recent clinical experience
- Experience with:
- Varian Edge Linear Accelerator
- Cone Beam CT (TG-142)
- Eclipse TPS & ARIA
- IMRT/VMAT, 3D/2D, SRS/SBRT
- Sun Nuclear / SunCHECK (preferred)
- VA CPRS/EMR experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, monthly, and annual QA
- Provide physics support for patient treatments
- Perform MU/treatment time calculations & independent checks
- Participate in chart rounds, chart checks, huddles
- Provide support for SRS/SBRT cases
- Assist with radiation safety documentation and NHPP compliance
- Maintain documentation in CPRS
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of clinical physics workflows
- QA competency
- Collaboration with dosimetry & physicians
