Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmissions to deliver products across designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving expertise.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving tools is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles.
