About the Role
As our Safety Director, you will work closely with drivers, dispatch, operations, and leadership to oversee safety programs and maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading driver safety initiatives through coaching, guidance, and ongoing communication.
- Overseeing company safety programs and ensuring transportation safety standards and regulatory requirements are followed.
- Reviewing safety incidents, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Helping protect and maintain company equipment by overseeing safety inspections and supporting maintenance practices that reduce breakdowns, control costs, and improve fleet efficiency.
- Collaborating with different departments to establish safe work practices and support daily operations.
- Overseeing driver safety training, onboarding procedures, and safety-related documentation.
- Building positive relationships with drivers while leading a company-wide culture where safety always comes first.
