PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff. Bilingual Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload
- Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in warehouse
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Bilingual Mandarin Chinese is a plus
- Drug Screening will be REQUIRED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
- 2 years of experience working with cooler/freezer storage
