The Marketing Associate position is an exciting new opportunity at Heymarket, based in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, CA. This role is designed to address our growing need for specialized marketing expertise, focusing on building a solid content and SEO foundation. As an individual contributor, the Marketing Associate will be instrumental in translating product, audience, and market insights into high-quality, long-form content that drives qualified inbound demand.
This is an ideal role for a recent graduate or early-career marketer who wants hands-on experience, real ownership, and mentorship in a startup environment, with the chance to make a real impact on our lead generation and conversion goals.
What You'll Do
● Content Creation: Ideate, plan, and manage the creation of engaging content, including blogs, landing pages, and videos. You will build high-quality, long-form content that drives organic demand.
● Keyword optimization: Develop strong SEO and audience understanding quickly.
● Website A/B testing: Plan, build, and analyze A/B tests to continuously improve our website's performance and turn more visitors into leads.
● Measure engagement and conversion: Track the success of our content and lead generation efforts.
● Explore and Implement New Tools: Identify and adopt new tools, including AI, to advance our marketing capabilities.
Key Skills/ requirements:
● A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
● Fundamental knowledge of Content & SEO strategies.
● Strong writing skills
● Experience with analytics and performance tracking
● Proficiency in WordPress and SEMrush
● Basic understanding of website management and experimentation techniques.
● A growth mindset and experience working with new technologies like GenAI.
● Eagerness to learn about marketing channels, metrics, and tools.
Bonus points for:
○ Prior experience in B2B marketing, especially in a tech or startup environment.
○ Paid search optimization skills
○ Familiarity with marketing tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics (GA4)
