Job Description
Currently we have a full-time, permanent position for a Physical Therapist Assistant at Heyer Physical Therapy. The PTA will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, provide patient care, assist with rehabilitation exercises, and monitor patient progress. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, educating patients on exercises and treatments, assisting with general office work flow, and ensuring quality care in accordance with best practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Physical Therapy techniques and care as evidenced through graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license, or eligible for same in NY State
- Experience and familiarity in patient care with a focus on Orthopedics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with patients and the healthcare team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow treatment care plans accurately
- Passion for promoting general physical health and wellness
