Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks, vans, or courier vehicles along assigned routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and company policies
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently by planning optimal routes using mobile devices and route-driving tools
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and route records in compliance with company standards
- Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including manual handling and moving items within storage facilities
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks preferred
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices in the workplace
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Comfortable working with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly
