What are the responsibilities and job description for the Growth lead position at Hey Noah?
We're looking for a Growth Lead to help build Hey Noah. Hey Noah is the world's first SMS/voice AI assistant exclusively for executives and founders.
Here is the launch post. We want to build the best AI brand ever built!
Our early users are executives who use it more than 15 times a day.
We want someone who builds with AI by default and is looking to define a new playbook for how to stand out in this new world of AI. You'll own demand end-to-end and help take the company to $10M in ARR.
You'll work directly with Ashish Toshniwal, a repeat founder who built and scaled YML to ~$100M in revenue at 59% average growth over 10 years. You'll have a real seat at the table in shaping how Noah grows. As an early employee, this role will touch both marketing and growth (refining and amplifying our value prop).
What you’ll do
- Design and run creative growth experiments across brand, social, influencer, and community
- Activate influencer marketing through seeding, relationships, and storytelling (not paid blasts)
- Turn real customer behavior into stories people want to share
- Build presence across LinkedIn, X, and Instagram with taste
- Show up in the Bay Area—events, dinners, meetups—to demo Noah and create pull
- Own performance marketing when scale demands it: testing channels, learning fast, and driving efficient growth
- Connect narrative growth with measurable outcomes on the path to $10M ARR
- Making use of current news to come up with viral campaigns
- Optimize the onboarding funnel—every signup that doesn't activate is a story that never gets told
- Build lightweight referral and word-of-mouth loops that compound
- Use data (PostHog, SQL, whatever you prefer) to find what's working and double down
- Building the community around our target audience - people with very busy calendars and a lot of stakeholders, like clients, teams, prospects, and networking events.
What we're looking for
- You default to AI—you'd build the landing page yourself before briefing a designer
- You've grown something (audience, product, community, side project) and can show the receipts
- You have a public presence, even a small one—you're not allergic to being visible
- You think in experiments, not campaigns
- Great taste (you can empathize with the end user and understand what they need and appreciate), and the speed to test whether your taste is right
- Fluency in both narrative growth and performance marketing
- Entrepreneurial mindset—you think in bets, not tasks
- This is not a strategy-only role, but a very hands-on role in growth
Pre-requisite to apply
- Do not apply unless you do this: Post a personal story on LinkedIn or X from your own life — something authentic on how you are using AI to get some work done. Create a short piece of content (video or otherwise) showing how you would position Noah based on how you use it on LinkedIn or X. There is an option to do a 2–4 week paid engagement (part-time or full-time), before you are hired.
What makes this role special
- You're joining early, with real ownership and influence
- You'll shape the company's voice — not inherit one
- You'll work directly with the founder, no layers
- The bar is whether people remember you, not whether they clicked
Your first 30 days
- Use Noah daily and deeply understand the user—you can't grow what you don't feel
- Ship your first 20 content and social experiments
- Build an influencer seeding pipeline and start activating relationships
- Run 3 experiments with measurable outcomes
Startup experience is a must—we care more about your taste, your ability to empathize with the end user, your speed, and the impact of what you create. If you want to build something from scratch and see it compound, we should talk.
