Field Service Engineer (Baton Rouge, LA)

Responsibilities

• Must have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems
• Working knowledge of Windows Domain administration and account management.
• Provide desktop support for all Microsoft-related operating systems, with emphasis on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Support includes all problem-solving, installs, upgrades, and network printing configurations.
• Provide support for Microsoft Office Suites, ODBC Connections, SQL connections, and various scanning and printer applications. Support includes installations, triage, updates, first-line problem-solving, application configuration, and technical support.
• Provide support for workstations, desktops, and laptops, from manufacturers such as HP and Dell, as well as any peripheral devices such as HP printers and plotters, HP and Fujitsu desktop scanners. Support includes troubleshooting, triage, repair, and software troubleshooting and configuration of associated applications, drivers, and BIOS software.
• Assist with the physical relocation of equipment and installation support for the new location.
• Provide support for meetings, webinars, and conferences using software such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Provide first-line support for hardware in conference rooms, including projectors and all other audio and video equipment.
• Provide Workstation & PC desktop deployment support, as well as provide support for any projects or administrative tasks in the enterprise that the customer requests. This includes planning, implementation, configuration, and support for management.
  
  

Education / Qualifications

AA in Computer Science/Technical School and 3-5 years of direct PC support, including Microsoft Certification on related systems.

Preferred: 5-10 years of direct PC support, Microsoft certifications for Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security ,

2-5 years of experience in printer hardware maintenance

Security Requirements from the Louisiana Department of Transportation: a background and fingerprint check are required and must be submitted to the Louisiana Department of Transportation. Hexagon will pay costs to complete the fingerprint process.
