Position Summary:
The Wire Processing Technician will be working directly under the Production Engineer executing tasks to meet production needs. The ideal candidate for this position is focused, driven and self-motivated. The position requires a desire to work with one’s hands and excellent manual dexterity for precision assembly. Additionally, working with electronic components demands diligence and hyper attention to detail. Primary duties will consist of cutting wires to length, fitting them with seals and attaching terminals with a crimp press. The candidate should also be able to read and comprehend wiring manuals, as well as a willingness to learn and master new assembly skills. Lastly, patience is another important quality as the role often performs repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
The specific responsibilities of the Wire Processing Technician include but are not limited to the following;
Responsibilities:
· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gathering parts, tools, and materials.
· Set up, arrange, and operate equipment as per the specifications and instructions from the supervisor.
· Perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure quality control on processed wires according to specifications. Including precise seal placement and appropriate crimping pressure.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
· Other duties as assigned: Inventory Wire, Packaging Products and Unloading Deliveries.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Highschool / GED Required
· Experience working in team environment
· Ability to lift 50 Lbs & Stand or Sit for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
· Associates or Technical Degree
· 1 years of Assembly Experience
· Knowledge of electrical wiring harnesses, crimp tools and wire processors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
