Hettrick, Cyr & Associates, Inc., located in Glastonbury, Connecticut, has been providing occupational safety services to the construction and general industry sectors since 1994. We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated safety professional to join our team, with a primary focus on construction. This role is based out of Glastonbury, CT and will require occasional overnight travel (~8 wks/yr).
Qualifications:
- 5 years of construction safety experience; Large scale or roofing is a bonus
- Knowledge of construction safety best practices, and their practical application
- Proven experience in responsibilities consistent with this role
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
- Strong communication skills; able to engage with all levels of management and field personnel including training others
- Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills strongly preferred
- Safety-related professional certifications (e.g., CHST, CSP) desired
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safety and risk control services to clients
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections and develop site-specific safety plans
- Develop and deliver training programs for workers
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations
- Prepare written reports and assist with incident investigations
- Support clients in implementing proactive safety programs and best practices
- Apply knowledge of hazard recognition and control across workers’ compensation, property, fleet, general liability, and products liability
Salary Information:
- $75,000 to $115,000 annually. Pay will be based on experience. Position is full-time.
