Your Role
As a Welder, you'll play an essential part in producing steel components that meet industry codes and customer specifications. You’ll work from detailed prints, perform quality welds, and help maintain a safe and productive shop environment.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and adjust welding machines and equipment based on material and job specs
- Perform welds on steel components per ASME and API code requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair welds as needed
- Read and follow blueprints accurately
- Operate grinders, overhead cranes, and hand/power tools
- Complete all required documentation and reports accurately
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of your workspace
- Support team members and follow company procedures and safety rules
- Demonstrate regular, on-time attendance
- Perform other duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Trade school or formal welding training preferred
- Minimum 2 years of GMAW welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preffered
- SMAW experience a plus
- Must pass internal GMAW 3G DH weld certification under WPS
- Ability to read welding symbols and tape measures accurately
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently
- Committed to safety and maintaining confidentiality
- Regularly required to stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift/move up to 50 lbs (30 lbs for women)
- Occasional work in confined spaces (e.g., inside pressure vessels)
- Exposure to loud noise, indoor and outdoor conditions
- Must follow all PPE and safety protocols
