Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Electrical Engineer/Electrical Engineering Manager, based in Albany, NY. The successful candidate will lead electrical engineering projects, design and oversee power systems, and manage power distribution solutions for various M/E/P initiatives. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with team members and clients, supervising design processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering energy-efficient electrical solutions for diverse facility types.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will collaborate with clients and our internal teams to provide building power supply and distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, security and telecommunications, data center power and networking, designs, studies, and technical support as required to fulfill project requirements from initial design through construction. He or she will supervise the electrical engineering staff, provide design direction and QA/QC, and coordinate projects with MEP and client teams. Ten years of experience in the A/E consulting industry is being sought for this position. Professional Engineering Licensure in NY and MA is preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in electrical design concepts and methodologies
- Strong knowledge of electricity principles and electrical engineering fundamentals
- Experience with power distribution and power systems design and implementation
- Ability to lead engineering projects and manage team members effectively
- Familiarity with energy-efficient design practices
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one is preferred
- Experience in the design of M/E/P systems for industrial or mission-critical facilities is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
