Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled New Construction Plumber to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing plumbing systems in new commercial construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Install plumbing systems in new residential and commercial buildings, including water supply lines, drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems, and fixtures.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, plumbing inspection cameras, pipe threading equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete installations.
- Conduct plumbing system inspections to ensure compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems during construction phases or as needed on-site.
- Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, HVAC technicians, and project managers to coordinate work schedules and ensure seamless project progression.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair in new build projects.
- Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, including water and sanitary systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret construction plans accurately.
- Familiarity with local building codes, plumbing inspection cameras, pipe threading tools, hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing components such as pipes, fixtures, valves, pumps, and water heaters.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely in accordance with commercial driving regulations.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders/scaffolding, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients or contractors on-site.
