Hertz Franchisee at our off-airport in Huntsville, Alabama is looking for a professional, organized, customer service-oriented person to assist our Team. Seeking a motivated and dependable team member to join our car rental team in a flex position that combines customer service and vehicle preparation duties. This hybrid role ensures our customers receive outstanding service and clean, well-maintained vehicles every time. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, and flexible in handling a variety of tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process rental agreements, returns, payments, and reservations accurately
- Explain rental terms, insurance options, and vehicle features to customers
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and service issues promptly and courteously
- Maintain a clean and organized work and lobby area
- Answer phone and handles customer phone inquiries professionally
Vehicle Cleaning & Preparation:
- Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles inside and out to company standards
- Inspect vehicles for damage, fuel levels, and cleanliness before and after rentals
- Move, park, and organize vehicles and trucks on the lot as directed
- Refill fluids, check tire pressure, and perform light upkeep tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the wash area and lot
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and clear drug screen
- Previous customer service or automotive experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and shift between counter and vehicle duties as needed
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Flexible availability, including Saturdays
