SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under direction of a Registered Nurse, contributes to the basic patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Actual job tasks may vary depending on the unit or department assigned.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide break and lunch coverage, as well as support for patient safety companions and patient care assistants who are providing 1:1 patient coverage within the unit. This is an important role that is critical to providing safe, high-quality patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
