Janitor

The Janitor will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities are maintained in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to high-quality cleaning standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining our highest quality of food safety standards, sanitation standards, and production requirements.
• Must observe all safety procedures, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, carpets, and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, and restock supplies as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and break rooms.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet extractors.
• Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages or needs to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Respond promptly and courteously to any cleaning requests or concerns from staff and visitors.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with others.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• 1st Shift Schedule: 2:30AM until completion (approx. 10 hour shift)
• Some tasks may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and allergens.
• Starting wage of $22.64 / hour ; increased to $23.24 after 60 days of positive performance -- $34.86/hour per OT Hour
• The role may require bending, lifting, and other physical activities.
