TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for a self-motivated, well-organized, creative Christian art teacher to join our team of educators. As an art teacher, you will be responsible for cultivating the students’ interest in art and encouraging them to reach their full potential. The teaching responsibilities will include grading assignments, evaluating students’ progress, and planning interesting, educational activities.

The teacher should be a competent professional with knowledge of best teaching practices. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, our ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, initiative, leadership, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Additionally, we require all of our educators and staff to be followers of Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as their Savior and Lord. Teachers will be in agreement with HCA’s Statement of Faith and will live it out in front of the students, incorporating it into all aspects of the curriculum and classroom activities.

TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Integrate biblical principles into the art curriculum and student life.

-Develop a challenging, informative and constructive instructional plan which is in accordance with the school philosophy and objectives, and adequately prepare students for assessments.

-Differentiate instruction as needed to meet students’ varied learning styles and needs.

-Create a well-disciplined atmosphere within the classroom.

-Care for equipment and supplies in the classroom.

-Evaluate student growth and progress.

-Coordinate the instructional program as it relates to the philosophy of the school and total educational program.

-Maintain attendance procedures for all classes.

-Keep their students safe while under their care.

TEACHER REQUIREMENTS:

At least a bachelor’s degree in education

Profess to be a believer in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
