Duties
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and resident relations.
- Support lease administration by preparing contracts, processing applications, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and oversee facilities management to uphold high standards of property appearance and safety.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for data entry, reporting, and record keeping.
- Conduct property inspections to monitor conditions, enforce lease agreements, and identify opportunities for upselling amenities or services.
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage conflict resolution with residents or vendors using effective negotiation skills and conflict management techniques.
- Maintain organized filing systems, process invoices, and support office administrative functions including phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
- Assist with marketing efforts by supporting leasing campaigns and engaging prospective residents through friendly communication and facility tours.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs, proper facilities management, and adherence to safety standards using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Experience
- Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and contracts is essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, vendors, and team members.
- Office experience involving data entry, filing, conflict resolution, negotiation, and handling legal documentation will be highly advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with a proactive attitude toward upselling amenities or services to enhance resident satisfaction.
