Payroll Administrator
Location: Beaver, Pennsylvania (on-site with hybrid flexibility)
An established Beaver, PA accounting firm is seeking a dependable Payroll Administrator to join our small, friendly team. This role can be part-time or full-time depending on experience. You’ll work directly with the CPA and firm owner to manage payroll, bookkeeping, and client reporting for small business clients across Western Pennsylvania.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and process weekly and biweekly payrolls for multiple small-business clients.
- Track and deduct garnishments and other special payroll deductions.
- Review, verify, and post approved timesheets.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
- Generate and distribute payroll and tax reports as needed.
- Submit federal, state, and local payroll tax filings (PA UC, LST, EIT).
- Complete monthly cash and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain oversight of payables, receivables, collections, and payroll ledgers.
- Prepare and reconcile year-end W-2s and 1099s.
- Assist CPA with quarterly and annual tax filings.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll administration.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania local tax systems preferred (LST, EIT, UC).
