At Herring Bank, we build “Relationships for a Lifetime.” As a Teller I, you’ll be the face of the bank—helping customers with everyday transactions while delivering excellent service. This is a part-time, entry-level role of less than 30 hours per week and is a great starting point for those interested in growing within retail banking.
What You’ll Do
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing accurately.
- Balance your cash drawer daily.
- Spot potential fraud or unusual activity.
- Assist customers with online banking (password resets, navigation, troubleshooting).
- Greet and serve customers promptly and professionally.
- Support branch opening/closing and security procedures.
- Promote bank products and refer customers to the right team members.
- Follow all compliance, policies, and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 months teller experience or 1 year in customer service/cash handling.
- Strong math, computer, and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.
- Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and excellent service.
