Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Payable office employee to join our small team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing all aspects of accounts payable/receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. Your expertise in financial software, accounting principles, and data entry will support our commitment to maintaining efficient financial operations. Responsibilities
- Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders with precision using various accounting systems such as Quickbooks
- Reconcile vendor statements and perform account analysis to ensure accuracy of payable transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling large volumes of data entry and record keeping.
- Assist with month-end closing activities including balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries related to accounts payable/receivable
- Utilize financial software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Ceridian for invoice processing, data entry, and reporting tasks.
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, tech savvy, knowledge of NCDOT, NCDOR, IRS, etc.
- Experience in software such as Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office.
- Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation, account analysis, credit analysiand balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
- Experience in Quickbooks
- Knowledge of AR/AP management as it relates to overall account functions.
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping principles including debits & credits and journal entries.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally while demonstrating strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills coupled with customer service. J

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
