Horticulturist | Interior Plant Care

Mobile, AL | $19–$22/Hour DOE Benefits Package | 30–35 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday | No Weekends | Company Vehicle Provided
Do you have hands-on plant experience from a nursery, greenhouse, garden center, growing operation or similar plant-focused environment—or horticultural education? You may already have the background we're looking for.
Heroman Services is seeking a Horticulturist to care for interior plants at commercial properties throughout the Mobile area.
We'll train you in the techniques of professional interior plant care and our innovative plant media system.
Workdays are regularly scheduled Monday–Friday, with some flexibility in start and finish times. A company vehicle is provided during the workday.
What You'll Do
- Care for tropical foliage plants, ornamentals and specialty plants
- Provide precise watering, pruning, grooming and fertilization
- Monitor plant health and identify insects, disease and signs of stress
- Evaluate growing conditions, diagnose problems and provide corrective care
- Oversee plant care at the commercial properties you are responsible for
- Build professional relationships with clients and fellow Horticultural Team members
What We're Looking For
- Professional plant-care experience and/or education in horticulture, plant science or a related field
- Strong plant identification, care and diagnostic skills
- Dependable, organized and able to work independently
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely lift and carry plants, equipment and supplies
