- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other safety-related activities.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.

- Proven experience working as a Safety Specialist or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of workers compensation laws, OSHA regulations, and EPA standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential hazards and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent report writing skills to document safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Ability to fabricate safety-related materials such as signs or barriers is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
